Serving Suggestions: Enjoy Pizzelle plain, lightly dusted with powdered sugar, spread with jams or preserves, or simply with your favorite beverage. Fabulous recipe ideas are limited only by your imagination. Try the following suggestions. Breakfast Treats: Take your favorite flavor of Pizzelle, break into bite-sized pieces and place in a cereal bowl. Add milk and/or fresh fruit and serve. Pizzelle can also be added to your favorite cereals for extra zest. Taco Treats: Place Pizzelle on a cookie sheet and place in your oven at 350 degrees F for approximately 3 minutes (or until soft). Remove Pizzelle one at a time and while still hot, fold into a taco shape. When cooled (they will retain folded shape), layer with peanut butter, jam, and sliced bananas, and garnish with whipped cream and maraschino cherries. Refrigerate our serve immediately. Following the above directions, Pizzelle may be rolled into cones and filled with whatever you wish to create cone treats. Layered Pizzelle Cake: Using individual dessert dishes, layer Pizzelle and your favorite pudding, making sure to cover the entire cookie surface on each layer. Use as many cookies as desired and use whipped cream instead of pudding for the top of the final cookie. Decorate as desired. Refrigerate 12 to 24 hours before serving. Frozen Treats: Using your favorite ice cream, spread approximately 1/2 inch thickness between two Pizzelle cookies. Separate each sandwich with waxed paper and place in your freezer. To be enjoyed after school or whenever you have a craving!
