Suggested Daily Feeding Amount: Daily portions can vary according to age, environment and activity level of your cat. The entire suggested daily amount should be placed in your cat's feeding dish. A supply of fresh drinking water should be provided at all times. Overweight Cats: If your cat is overweight and is currently on a premium adult maintenance cat food, calorie reduction will occur when switching to Max Cat Senior. For further weight reduction, reduce the daily amount by 1/8 to 1/2 cup depending on activity and weight. Underweight Cats: If your cat is underweight, feed a mixture of Max Cat Senior canned and dry several times a day and see your veterinarian regularly. 3-5 lb: 1/4 to 1/2 cups dry or 1/4 to 1/3 + 1/8 can. 5-10 lb: 1/2 to 3/4 cups dry or 1/3 to 3/4 + 1/8 to 1/4 can. 10-15 lb: 3/4 to 1-1/4 cups dry or 3/4 to 1-1/4 + 1/4 can. 15-20 lb: 1-1/4 to 1-2/3 cups dry or 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 + 1/4 to 1/3 can. One 8 oz measuring cup holds 3.53 oz of Max Cat Adult Roasted Chicken Flavor. The 7-Day Switch Plan: We recommend a 7-day transition period from your old food to Max Cat. This gradual change allows your cat's system to adjust gradually without stomach upsets. Day 1-2: Feed 75% old and 25% Max. Day 3-4: Feed 50% old with 50% Max. Day 5-6: Feed 25% old with 75% Max. Day 7+: 100% Max.
