A classic La Brea Bakery baguette recipe to try at home. Cut the french baguette into 4 pieces. Slice through the center of each piece horizontally. Smear 2-3 tablespoons of softened unsalted butter over the bottom half of each baguette piece. Place 6 slices of rumpled prosciutto on top. Place the top half of the baguette over the prosciutto and compress it before taking the first bite. Our breads taste best on the day of purchase, although they will keep longer. Keep the bread at room temperature in its original bag. Do not refrigerate. For later use, freeze the bread in a plastic bag. To use, remove from bag, thaw it and heat in a 425 degrees F oven for 3-5 minutes. Let cool before enjoying.
