Microwave Directions (Recommended Method): 1. Place pouch, printed side up, on microwavable plate. Do not cut slit in pouch. 2. Microwave on high 3 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Popping sounds may occur. 3. Caution: Hot! Let stand 1 minute. Pull or cut to open. Empty into serving dish; stir well. Stove-Top Directions: Important: Do not heat pouch in boiling water. Empty contents of pouch into 1-quart saucepan. Add 2 tablespoons water. Cover; cook over medium heat 9 to 14 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Adjust cook times and heat settings as needed. Refrigerate leftovers. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Before eating, cook thoroughly to at least 160F as measured by an instant-read food thermometer.
