Long Grain Parboiled Rice, Salt, Tomato (Dried), Sugar, Onion (Dried), Red Bell Pepper (Dried), Maltodextrin, Chicken Broth, Corn Starch, Spices, Garlic (Dried), Yeast Extract, Paprika Extract, Green Bell Pepper (Dried), Citric Acid, Chicken Fat, Turmeric
Stove-Top Directions: You Will Need: 1-1/2 cups water (For saucier rice, add up to 1/4 cup more water); 1 (14-1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained; 1 tablespoon butter or margarine (if desired). Step 1: Heat water, diced tomatoes, butter, rice, and seasoning mix to boiling in 2-quart saucepan, stirring occasionally. Step 2: Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer about 25 minutes without uncovering or stirring. Step 3: Remove from heat and uncover. Let stand 3-8 minutes until most liquid is absorbed. Makes about 3 cups. Note: Because stove-tops and saucepans differ, you may need to adjust heat and cook times. To Microwave: For three 1-cup servings. Stir together 1-1/2 cups warm water (For saucier rice, add up to 1/4 cup more warm water), 1 (14-1/2 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained, 1 tablespoon butter or margarine (if desired), rice, and seasoning mix in 1-1/2 quart microwave-safe bowl. Cover; microwave on high 16-18 minutes without uncovering or stirring, until most liquid is absorbed. Stir. Cover; let stand 3-8 minutes. Important: Not recommended for 1,000 watt or higher microwaves. Because microwaves cook differently, times are approximate. Rice Cooker Directions: For best results, do not prepare in a rice cooker. High Altitude (Above 3,500 Feet): Stove-Top: Increase warm water to 1-3/4 cups and simmer time to 29-31 minutes. Microwave: Increase warm water to 2-1/4 cups. Cover; microwave on high 5 minutes. Do not uncover or stir. Microwave on medium (50%) 25-27 minutes longer without uncovering or stirring. Make it a Meal: Stir one or more into finished rice: 1 cup sliced fully cooked kielbasa sausage; 1/2 cup to 1 cup crumbled, cooked, and drained Italian sausage (about 3 to 6-oz); 1/2 cup cooked whole kernel corn; 1/2 cup cooked black beans; 2 tablespoons sliced ripe olives.
