Stove-Top Directions:Heat 4 Cups Water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan. Add edamame (in pods); return to boiling. Gently boil uncovered over medium-high heat 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked. Drain. To eat, remove edamame from pods; discard pods. (To serve cold, rinse with cold water; drain.) Microwave Directions:Important: Do not microwave in bag.Pour edamame (in pods) and 1 Tablespoon Water into 11/2-quart round microwavable casserole dish. Cover; microwave on High according to chart, stirring halfway through cook time until thoroughly cooked. For a 1200 watt microwave, microwave for 5 minutes. For a 1000 watt microwave, microwave for 51/2 minutes. For a 700 watt microwave, microwave for 7 minutes.Microwave wattages vary; adjust cook time for the wattage of your microwave. Do not leave microwave unattended.Caution: Hot! Uncover carefully; stir well. Drain. To eat, remove edamame from pods; discard pods. (To serve cold, rinse with cold water; drain.) Keep frozen. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Before eating, cook thoroughly to at least 160degF as measured by an instant-read food thermometer. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Adjust cook times and heat settings as needed. Refrigerate leftovers.
