Keep frozen until ready to use. Stove Top: Bring 6 cups of water (salted, if desired) to a boil. Add edamame and bring to a second boil. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain, remove from pods, season to taste and serve. Steam: Pour edamame in a vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam for 4-6 minutes, until just tender. Remove from pods, season to taste and serve. Microwave: Pour edamame in a microwave-safe dish. Add 3/4 cup water and cover. Microwave on High for 4-6 min (Note: Microwave cooking times may vary depending on the brand of appliance used. Please consult the manufacturer's instructions). Drain, remove from pods, season to taste, stir, cover and allow to stand a few minutes before serving.
