Buckwheat (100% Pure)
Basic: 2 cups broth, bouillon, or water; 2 tbsp. butter or margarine (Low Fat Version: Eliminate butter or margarine); 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. salt (Less salt may be required if using broth); 1/8 tsp. pepper; 1 cup whole buckwheat groats. 1. In medium saucepan, heat liquid, butter, and seasonings to boiling. 2. Quickly stir in buckwheat. Reduce heat to low and cover pan tightly. 3. Simmer 15 minutes until groats are tender and liquid is absorbed. Makes about 4 servings.
