What you need: 3/4 lb. chicken, beef or pork, cut into strips. 1 tsp sugar, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1/4 cup water. 2 tbsp oil. 1 medium onion, sliced. 2 carrots, sliced. 1 red or green bell pepper, sliced. 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional). 1 can (8oz.) bamboo shoots, drained. Preparations: 1. Combine mix, sugar, soy sauce, and water; blend and set aside. 2. In large skillet or wok heat oil, add meat, and stir-fry until browned. 3. Add onion, carrots, and bell pepper; stir-fry. 4. Add mushrooms and bamboo shoots; stir-fry. 5. Add seasoning mixture; stir-fry 1 minute or until thickened.
