Store yeast in a cool place. Traditional Baking Method: Mix SAF Gourmet Perfect Rise Yeast with half of the flour and other dry ingredients. Heat liquids to 120 degrees to 130 degrees F (butter does not need to melt) and add to dry ingredients. Or SAF Perfect Rise Yeast may also be dissolved in 110 degrees to 115 degrees F liquids before adding to other recipe ingredients. Bread Machine Method: Add SAF Perfect Rise Yeast according to manufacturer's directions. Room temperature liquids are recommended. 1 pkg. (1/4 oz.) SAF Gourmet Perfect Rise Yeast is approximately 2-1/4 teaspoons. Three packages (3/4 oz) equals the activity of one 2 oz. yeast cake.
