1 Cup uncooked rice2 Cups water1/2 Teaspoon salt (optional)1 Teaspoon butter (optional)1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.2. Bring to a boil; Stir once.3. Cover with a tight fitting lid or foil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.4. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) for 5-10 minutes longer.Yields approximately 3 cups of cooked rice.
