Cooking Jasmati® rice. 1 cup uncooked rice. 2 cups water. 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional). 1 teaspoon butter (optional). 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil; stir once. 3. Cover with a tight fitting lid or foil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) for 5-10 minutes longer. Yields approximately 3 cups of cooked rice.
