Water, Extra Fancy Durum Flour, Dehydrated Potatoes, Dehydrated Cheddar Cheese (Whey, Cheddar Cheese [Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes], Butter, Buttermilk Solids, Salt, Sodium Phosphate), Canola Oil, Dehydrated Onions, Salt, Pepper, Natural Food Color (Annato)


Preparation Directions (Keep Frozen Until Use): Boil: Place pierogies in boiling water. Boil gently, uncovered for 4-5 minutes. Drain. Skillet: Place frozen pierogies in skillet and sauté in oil or butter over medium heat (300 degrees F) for approximately 7-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly browned on both sides. Deep Fry: Preheat oil to 350 degrees F. Carefully place frozen pierogies in oil for 3-1/2 to 4 minutes until golden brown. Grill: Preheat countertop grilling machine at medium setting. Spray both sides of frozen pierogies with non-stick cooking spray. Grill for 5 minutes. Microwave: In a microwave safe bowl cover frozen pierogies with water. Microwave on high for approximately 5 minutes. Drain. Quick & Easy: Serving Suggestions: Traditional Pierogies: Follow boil or skillet preparation Directions: Sauté chopped onions in butter or margarine until lightly browned. Add pierogies and toss gently. Top with sour cream and garnish with chives or parsley or float a cooked pierogie in your favorite soup. Get Creative with Pierogies! Stir-Fry Sensation: For a nutritious stir-fry, great for lunch or dinner, just boil 6 pierogies for 4-5 minutes. Heat 1/2 lb. Of frozen stir-fry vegetables and combine in a skillet with the pierogies and gently stir-fry for a few minutes. Include cooked chicken strips to enhance the meal. Toss with soy, honey dijon, or sweet and sour sauce. Pierogies Mexicana: For a quick lunch, dinner or tasty appetizer, follow skillet directions and top pierogies with salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Family Favorites: Simply top boiled pierogies and meat loaf slices with brown gravy and mushrooms. Add green beans, carrots or your veggie favorite for a nutritional boost. Pierogies topped with your favorite sauce are terrific side dishes to accompany virtually any meat, chicken or fish entrée. Salad Creations: For low fat, low calorie healthy entrée salads for lunch or dinner, follow skillet or grill directions and simply arrange pierogies on a bed of lettuce. Add a few slices of fresh tomatoes, cucumber, and mozzarella cheese. Serve with balsamic vinaigrette or your favorite salad dressing.
