Stovetop: place water in pan with a piece of salt pork or bacon. Cover and bring to a boil. Add frozen collards, cover and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for recommended time shown above. Stir several times during cooking period. Add additional seasonings, if desired, and serve. Microwave: place frozen collards in a casserole with water, and a piece of salt pork, bacon, or 3-4 tbsp. Bacon fat. Cover lightly with plastic wrap. Leave one corner open. Cook for recommended time as show above, stirring twice during cooking period. Allow to stand, covered. Add additional seasonings, if desired, and serve.
