Our Alessi marinara pasta sauce is best when heated only to the point of being ready to serve. Overheating results in the continuation of cooking and changes the flavor. Heat in a medium, heavy bottomed pan and serve over cooked "al dente" pasta. Top with fresh basil leaves and freshly grated cheese, if desired. Refrigerate after opening. Meat sauce: Saute 2 minced cloves of garlic and 1/4 cup chopped onion in heated olive oil. Add 1/21b. lean ground beef and cook until well done. Add 1 jar of pasta sauce.
